North York Condos Near the Subway, Station by Station

Two subway lines, two light rail lines and three GO stations serve North York. Each station below is matched to one of our twelve condo areas, with addresses from the TTC.

The quick answer

North York has stations on two subway lines. Line 1 runs up Yonge Street through Lawrence, York Mills, Sheppard-Yonge, North York Centre and Finch. Its other arm runs up the west side from Glencairn to Pioneer Village. Line 4 runs along Sheppard Avenue East from Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills. Ten of our twelve condo areas have a subway station. Line 5 Eglinton serves the other two, Don Mills and Flemingdon Park.

Two subway lines

North York condos near the subway sit along two lines. Line 1 Yonge-University has a Yonge Street side and a west side and both run through North York. Line 4 Sheppard runs east from Yonge Street along Sheppard Avenue. The two meet at Sheppard-Yonge Station.

If you want a condo near Finch Station, the north end of Line 1 on Yonge, look under four TRREB communities. Our Yonge and Finch guide and Willowdale guide cover them.

The table below matches every station to one of the twelve areas on this site. Station addresses come from the TTC’s station pages. The TTC does not label stations by former municipality, so we include stations at the edge of North York and note them.

The Finch Station page also lists parking at 890 Willowdale Avenue and 18 Hendon Avenue.

Three of our areas share this stretch of Yonge Street, split along TRREB community lines. The Yonge and Sheppard guide covers the south end, the Willowdale guide covers Sheppard to Finch and the Yonge and Finch guide covers the area north of Finch Avenue.

Lawrence Station is at the edge. Much of the Yonge and Lawrence area was in the old City of Toronto and not the former City of North York, as our post on what is considered North York explains.

Line 4 Sheppard: Yonge to Don Mills

Line 4 has five stations, all on Sheppard Avenue.

Three of the five stations are in one TRREB community, Bayview Village. In the second quarter of 2026 TRREB recorded 83 condo apartment sales there out of 118 sales of all home types.

York University GO is closed. Metrolinx said in July 2021 that the station needed to be demolished for the Barrie line expansion and directed riders to Downsview Park GO and the subway.

Line 5 Eglinton and Line 6 Finch West

Both light rail lines are in service.

The TTC describes Line 5 Eglinton as 19 kilometres of light rail along Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis Station and Kennedy Station. Metrolinx counts 25 stations and stops, with more than 10 kilometres underground. Line 5 meets Line 1 at Cedarvale and Eglinton stations. The stops that matter for North York condos are at the south edge of the Don Mills area. They are Don Valley Station at 1175 Eglinton Avenue East, at Eglinton and Don Mills, plus the Wynford and Sunnybrook Park stops. There is no subway station in Banbury-Don Mills north of Eglinton Avenue.

The TTC describes Line 6 Finch West as 11 kilometres with 18 stations, running along Finch Avenue West from Finch West Station at Keele Street to Humber College Station. The TTC gives its start as December 7, 2025. It connects to Line 1 at Finch West Station.

What Metrolinx says about extensions

Two planned projects touch North York. We report what Metrolinx states and nothing more.

Yonge North Subway Extension. It would extend Line 1 about 8 kilometres north from Finch Station to Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill with five stations: Steeles, Clark, Royal Orchard, Bridge and High Tech. Metrolinx lists no station between Finch and Steeles. The project page records that excavation of the tunnel launch shaft was completed in July 2026. Metrolinx gives no opening date and says the extension goes into service after the Ontario Line is complete.

Sheppard extension. Metrolinx is studying options to extend rapid transit along Sheppard Avenue both east and west. The project is at the Initial Business Case stage, which Metrolinx calls the first stage of its planning process. There is no route decision, funding statement, construction date or opening date.

We make no claim about what either project means for condo prices. The tables above list only the transit that runs today.

Searching by station

  • Start from the station you would use and find its area in the first table.
  • Open the listings for that area and check each building’s location against the station address.
  • Visit at the hour you would travel. We do not quote travel times because they vary by trip.
  • Read the area guide to see which TRREB communities its listings cover. All twelve are on the neighbourhoods page.

The North York condo buying guide covers the rest of the process and the mortgage calculator helps with the budget. To see condos near a particular station, contact us and we will book showings.
